Accessibility Statement

What has been built in, what has not been independently verified, and how to tell us if something blocks you.

Our approach

Accessibility was treated as part of the architecture of this site rather than a later addition. We build toward the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. We do not claim full conformance, because that claim has not been independently audited. Saying otherwise would be a stronger statement than the evidence supports.

What is built in

  • Semantic HTML with a single, correctly ordered heading hierarchy on every page.
  • Full keyboard operability, including the navigation, the mega menu and every interactive diagram.
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element.
  • Form fields with real labels, programmatically associated error messages, and live status updates.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
  • Full support for the reduced motion preference. Smooth scrolling, the custom cursor, page transitions and every scroll-driven animation are disabled when it is set.
  • Colour contrast checked against the brand palette rather than assumed from it.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px without horizontal scrolling, and remain usable at 200% text zoom.
  • Touch targets sized for use on a phone.

Known limitations

  • The interactive diagrams present relationships visually. Each one has a text equivalent nearby, but the diagrams themselves are not intended to be read directly by a screen reader.
  • No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet.
  • Third-party embeds added later, such as a scheduling tool, may not meet the same standard. We will note that here if it applies.

Assistive technology

The site is built to standards that work with current versions of screen readers and browsers. It has not been formally tested against every combination.
